Artist's Statement:
Hello, I'm Susan Reycroft. I have dabbled in art since I was in my 20s, when I was forced to take an art class in college for an elective. It touched my mind, heart and soul. After many and varied jobs and careers I retired and came to Crestone. Here I found a supportive art community and began finding lost parts of myself though art. In the last few years I have been blessed with powerful, strong, and deep emotions. I have also had the opportunity for travel and adventures. It has lead me to be fascinated with the way colors speak to each other on a surface as well as to me and any viewers. For me the subject is not as important as the colors, whether it is watercolor, acrylic, silk or clay. I hope my art helps you to see the communication of color and emotion.
